A second generation architect, Christian Nielsen grew up in the world of architecture. "I was surrounded by architecture and design at an early age. By the time I received my Bachelor of Architecture degree from Rhode Island School of Design I essentially had 20 years of experience."

Christian takes pride in creating unexpected results when designing spaces for clients and their lives. He believes the first step to that success is developing a strong relationship with clients while assisting them in identifying the priorities of the project

Timerie Gordon, Industrial Designer

Every time I design something I...
Attempt to achieve a successful balance between fine art and industrial design

I am inspired by...
Painfully obvious simplicity

I get excited when...
I go on to Ebay and put in something obscure like "Vintage Italian Postcards from 1920's-1940's"
and I get a search result.

I get even more excited when...
I receive the obscure item from Ebay like "Italian Postcards from 1920's-1940's" and I am
inspired to create a simple light fixture that evokes intrigue, nostalgia, and exudes simplicity,
all at the same time.

I design dramatic things for public and private spaces. Most frequently, I am hired to design for a specific purpose in a specific place to enhance the environment.

"Nothing is true, but that which is simple."
– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
